2015 (SP). Winner.

The challenge was to design a futuristic KIA for the next 5 to 25 years. I chose the KIA Optima as inspiration for my prototype, an aerodynamic sedan featuring the Tiger Nose design and inspired by a tiger’s muscular form for elegance and strength. The car will be named Glare, reflecting both the shine of a sedan and the dynamism look of a sports car.

To design a car for at least two passengers, I focused on creating an asymmetric vehicle inspired by natural imperfections. Since the left side, where the steering wheel is, faces more impact and is often more damaged in accidents, my design addresses this safety concern by reflecting these real-world conditions.

In addition to this design, a further interview was conducted on Women in Automotive Design.

This project aims to enhance the driving experience by improving visibility. The design involves a two-part bodywork: an upper, transparent and pillar-free cover for unobstructed vision, and a lower part for the rest of the bodywork. The core idea is to offer greater freedom in driving.

Fiberdiode is an innovative vehicle illumination technique focused on enhancing both design and safety, protecting people and animals in adverse conditions. While current systems are more powerful, they don’t offer sufficient protection in case of failures. This project aims to develop methods to prevent accidents and improve safety.

2015 (SP). National Top 5.

This contest was divided into two parts. While I was doing my internship in Graphic Design for caranddriverthef1.com, I was in charge of designing the contest banner, which represented a future F1 car. In the second part, I entered the competition and designed a car inspired by birds and sharks, focusing on minimising air resistance. My design made it into the top 20 and was put to a public vote. Although my F1 design did not win, it did lead to me being chosen in the Top 5 by the editors of caranddriverthef1.com to be part of the Official Future F1 Design Group.

Floren, Héctor, Tony and me.

— MY ROLE

EXTERIOR DESIGNER

The five members of the team had different professional skills: an architect, an illustrator, an engineer, a mechanic and me. We all published our progress on the caranddriver.com website. In addition, our followers could give feedback on the website and discuss our ideas and promote their own. We worked together with our news and their opinions, advice, etc. That’s how it worked during a year (2015 – 2016)

Toyota Spain.

2013 (SP). Finalist.

Toyota Spain held a competition to design an accessory to enhance vehicle capabilities. I proposed a sun shield to reduce sun glare during sunrise and sunset, using a gradient film operated like an electric window, reducing sunlight strength without affecting visibility. The idea is currently in development.
